Souper Bowl of Caring Sign-Up

More than 20 year ago, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group:

“Lord, as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful of those without even a bowl of soup to eat.”

Since that day, more than $81 million has been raised for local charities across the country though Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement that is transforming the time around Super Bowl weekend into the Nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving.

St. Francis – St. Maryand Holy Family  have been part of this mission to make a difference in the world as they collect food and raise money to feed the needy. Our youth will be collecting donations after the Masses on February 3rd and 4th – Super Bowl Sunday weekend.

This year all of the money collected will go to the Alan P. Linton Homeless Shelter, a year-round emergency shelter for homeless individuals and families in Frederick County.

Sign-up below if you are available to collect donations after any of the weekend Masses.  We need 4 teens at each Mass at Holy Family and 2 teens at each Mass at St. Mary.
