It is my pleasure to welcome you here to Holy Family Catholic Community and it is my prayer that you will come to know personally the great blessing our parish is.

Of course, the heart of our community is our weekly celebration of the Eucharist.  We celebrate Mass at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.  At the two Sunday Masses, volunteers help us to provide a nursery for younger children and a special Liturgy of the Word for Children for those pre-Kindergarten through fourth grade.  Mass is also celebrated during the week in the Saint Joseph Chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.  A Communion Service is held on Wednesday and Thursday.  The sacrament of Reconciliation is offered on Saturdays from 4:00 until 4:30 (from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. during Advent and Lent) and on Tuesday mornings from 6:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m.

We have several outstanding programs to help you grow in the knowledge of your faith.  For those of you blessed to have children of school age, you’ll find a choice among our many education offerings.  A complete religious education program is available September through May from Pre-school through Youth Ministry (high school grades).   We are a sponsoring parish for Saint John’s Regional Catholic School, located in Frederick.  Please call Caroline Rohr or Liz Parrotte in our Faith Formation office, at 473-4800 for more information on any aspect of Faith Formation.

As you settle in here at Holy Family, I encourage you to get involved in one (or more!) of our many ministries and committees.  Jesus calls all followers to an active discipleship which requires more than simply attending Mass. It is my hope that you will connect with our community and share the blessings of your time and talent with us.

In addition, an important part of the return offered to the Lord is your financial gift to our parish.  I would ask you to consider prayerfully what financial return you will make to the Lord for the many blessings He has given you.  After registering you'll receive monthly offertory envelopes for your sacrificial giving. In lieu of the envelope system, we would encourage you to use Electronic Funds Transfer which frees you from having to write out an envelope each week.  A form is included in the registration materials.

May God bless you in this time of transition.  If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call me directly at (301)473-4800.  Being part of our Holy Family family has been a grace and blessing for me and for so many others.  I hope that you will feel at home here and come to know more deeply love of Jesus Christ.

In the Peace of Christ,
(Rev. Msgr.) Robert J. Jaskot, Pastor
