Sunday Night Sessions

Holy Family Total Youth Ministry offers programming for all high school students. Sessions are held twice monthly from Sept through May on Sunday evenings in the Legacy room at Holy Family. Sessions begin at 6:30pm and conclude at 8:30pm with a meal and social time. Parents are always welcome at Sunday Night Sessions. Holy Family, as well as the Archdiocese, requires consistent attendance in order to be eligible for Sacramental preparation.

Sunday Night sessions are structured with games, prayer, talks, small group sharing and social time. Material for sessions comes from The Center for Ministry Development, headquartered in state of Washington, which is endorsed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

There are 8 themes for Comprehensive Ministry

In addition to Sunday sessions, please encourage your child to participate in service and regional events. Outreach  is an important aspect of faith formation, giving  teens the opportunitiy to serve the poor and needy. Monthly service events include; serving lunch at the Frederick Rescue Mission, celebrating birthdays at Homewood Nursing Home, serving the parish at pancake breakfasts, spaghetti dinners, fill bags of food for our weekend backpack program, etc.

The Youth Ministers in Central Maryland collaborate on events throughout the year for all teens in the neighboring parishes. Events are also held in the Baltimore, D.C. area and beyond. Check the Youth Events and Service Opportunities tab for upcoming events. Any events away from Holy Family require a permission form.
