Equip for Ministry

Equip for Ministry is a process of formation for Lay Ministers (aka “volunteers”) throughout the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  It is based on four areas of formation where participants are “equipped” to better serve in current or future volunteer positions within the church through courses offered locally.

This process is geared for those who serve in any of the following ministries.

Catechetical Ministry

Worship Ministries

Disability Ministries

Pastoral Councils

Prison Ministry

Social Just Ministry

Youth Ministry

Adult Faith Formation

Marriage Ministry

Finance Committees

RCIA Teams

We encourage parishioners to seriously consider participating in this program to grow in their understand of the faith and their relationship with the Lord.  The parisioner and our parish are enriched everytime someone takes the opportunity to explore the faith.

To learn more about this process, keep reading this document or see the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Equip for Ministry webpage.  Also see their website for up to the date course information including the fall, spring and summer course catalogs.

About Equip for Ministry

Want to start this process and/or take a course?

That’s wonderful!  You can sign up for a course online through the archdiocese’s Equip for Ministry webpage.  You can also contact Caroline Rohr in the parish office to schedule a time to meet to look at a course plan for yourself.

Some funds are available to help with a portion of tuition for those in financial need, but would like to participate in this process.  Please download the scholarship form and turn the competed form into Caroline Rohr in the parish office.
